Tourist Travel Requirements for an Oman Visa for Swiss Citizens

1. Visa Exempt

   Visa exempt for a stay of up to 14 days. The traveller must:

   • Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
   • Hold proof of sufficient funds
   • Hold proof of onward/return airline tickets
   • Hold proof of hotel reservation
   • Hold proof of valid health insurance
   • Hold documents showing proof of purpose of trip
   • Hold all documents required for the next destination
   • Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change

2. Passport

   The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:

   • Contain at least two blank visa pages
   • Be valid for six months beyond exit date

3. Proof of Residency

   A copy of the applicant's residency or work permit for their place of residence

4. Photograph(s)

   You must provide one colour, passport type photograph that meets the following criteria:

   • Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
   • Be taken against an all white background
   • Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
   • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
   • You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
   • Your photo should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive or staples

5. Proof of Travel Arrangements

   • A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel
   • A copy of the hotel confirmation

6. Proof of Employment

   Proof of the applicant's activity in Switzerland.  This can be provided by submitting one of the following:

   • A letter from the applicant's employer confirming that they will return to work after the trip
   • For self-employed people and chairmen or chief executive officers, evidence of available funds must be provided as a copy of the applicant's last three bank statements. These must all show a balance of at least €1000
   • A copy of the applicant's student card
   • For retired people, proof of retirement pension
   • For unemployed people, evidence of available funds must be provided as a copy of the applicant's last three bank statements. These must all show a balance of at least €1000

7. Copy of Passport Identification Page

   Provide a clear colour copy of your passport identification page

8. Visa Application Form(s)

   One fully completed and signed application form

   • Be completed online at: https://www.rop.gov.om/OnlineServices/eVisa/en/
   • Be printed off and signed in the original

9. VisaCentral Order Confirmation

   For orders placed on the VisaCentral website, a copy of the Online Order Confirmation which is sent to you via email, must be submitted.

   
   For all other orders, and where applicable, a completed VisaCentral Visa Order Form which can be found in the VisaCentral Application Pack should be submitted.

   
   Please note that all card payments will only be made upon completion of the visa application process. 

10. Previous visits to areas impacted by COVID-19

    Oman has temporarily suspended entry to travellers who have been to China or other areas impacted by COVID-19.
